CATHEDRAL HOUSING PROGRAM

RESIDENTS SERVED: 15 units

Serves up to 15 families in which at least one member of the household is living with HIV/AIDS. To be eligible, applicants must be able to document all of the following criteria:
  • 12 consecutive months of successful housing in their current supportive housing program.
  • Successful maintenance of their individual service plans in their current supportive housing program.
  • Demonstrated ability, motivation and desire to move to more independent living.

All referrals must meet Boston Housing Authority eligibility

SETTING: Families and individuals will be afforded a unit that is the appropriate size for the number in their family.  The units are located in the Cathedral public housing development in Boston’s South End and managed by the Boston Housing Authority.

The buildings are newly renovated, and in walking distance of stores, bus stops, and the MBTA’s Silver Line. All units have a kitchen area and full bathroom. Units are handicap accessible. All buildings have elevators.
