NAZARETH'S RESIDENCE FOR MOTHERS AND CHILDREN

RESIDENTS SERVED: 8-10 Families (mothers and children)

Serves eight to ten families consisting of mothers and their children (approximately 22 persons). At least one member of the family must be living with HIV/AIDS. Two beds are reserved for women without children. Applicants must be homeless. If applicants have a history of substance abuse they must have 30 days of clean time. Mothers must be well enough to care for themselves and their children, and mental health issues must be stabilized. This is a clean and sober program.

SETTING: Nazareth Residence is a spacious three-story building located near a public bus route. The building has 22 beds in total. Seven rooms have private bathrooms (some full and some half baths). The second and third floors each have two full community bathrooms, a dining area, a living room, a kitchenette, and laundry facilities (no charge). The first floor has community areas including a dining room, a living room, and a full kitchen. The building also has a meditation room, a child care center, storage areas for residents, and additional laundry facilities. The building has an elevator. Some units are handicap accessible.
