Serves 15 men who are disabled by HIV or have an AIDS diagnosis.
Applicants must be homeless. If applicants have an addiction
history they must have 30 days of clean time. Applicants taking
methadone are eligible for this program. The YMCA does not allow
residents to bring drugs or alcohol on the premises. No guests
are allowed in the residence. |

SETTING: |
The Open Door SRO Program is located in the Central House
Cambridge Family YMCA. The facility is near stores, public bus
routes, and the Central Square T station. The residence has a
total of 128 SRO units. The Open Door SRO Program's 15 rooms are
equipped with microwaves and refrigerators. Residents share
bathrooms, kitchenettes, and common lounges. The building has
elevators and token-operated laundry facilities. The units are
wheelchair accessible. |

-Fully furnished rooms (furniture and linens)
-On-site staff in evenings
-24 hour emergency staff coverage
-Access to CCAA services
-Case management
-Meal delivery (lunches from ElderLink and dinners from area
restaurants)
-CCAA can provide emergency food vouchers for groceries
-Access to all YMCA facilities (gym, pool, etc...)
